Details of Linden groups for all ages.

18 - 30 and possibly beyond

Since our very earliest days students have played a significant part in the life of Linden with many ending up not managing to escape at all.

Some have suggested that it's all to do with Sue Brown's chocolate cake but she's assured us that all the ingredients are wholesome and natural! With lots of ways to get stuck in Linden is a church with masses of opportunities. Come and check us out.

Three years or four - or even more-  stretches ahead when most students arrive at university in Swansea.  It's all pretty exciting; at moments a little daunting and most definitely a time of huge change. What a great time to work out what faith in God means in the real world of a new city. So whether it's helping out with some of the children's and youth activities or joining writers' group or coming on an overseas mission trip or becoming a volunteer at Red Café Community Project or just hanging out, there are so many ways to be a part of what Linden is.

There are regular Sunday lunches and weekends away where the emphasis is on finding friends, getting involved, and making a difference.

The Linden 18 – 30’s group has been re-launched to give people in this age group a chance to meet together, socialise and discuss life, the universe and everything. The group meets regularly at a local pub once a month on a Sunday evening from 7.30pm. Other events including curry nights, discussion nights and an annual weekend away at the Long Barn.

Unplugged, a monthly acoustic music event is run by members of the group. This event is designed to bring your friends to and a great opportunity to meet and socialise with other members of the community, enjoy acoustic music and the creativity of local musicians in a laid back atmosphere. Recent acts include Linden’s own Captain Cat and the Sailors, Jez Sampson and Ben Evans.  Other local talent who have joined us are Neil Clark and Scotty. This event is held at the Red Cafe in Mumbles and is for ages 18 and upwards. Entry fee goes towards the work of local charities. 7.30pm. See Gallery for photos and the events calendar for upcoming dates.

If you are interested in joining any of these activities log onto the Linden 18-30’s (and possibly beyond) facebook group.
